Meersbrook Construction Company Ltd. was established in 1926 and has evolved into being at the forefront of the building and construction trade in Sheffield.

As a family led business, the company was founded by the grandfather George Leaford Greaves. The company was subsequently passed onto Eric Greaves, his eldest son. From here, Albert and Bill Greaves took over the business and changed the businesses name from Meersbrook Concrete Company to Meersbrook Construction Company in 1980. The current directors, Malcolm Greaves and Susan Greaves have led the company since 2001.

Over the past eight decades, the company has served all over Sheffield, catering for the needs of both small and large organizations and making a name for itself in the local business community. Its quality property and building renovation work has been the trademark of Meersbrook Construction Company with a complete range of services including plumbing, electrical work, plastering, joinery, roofing, painting and decorating. 

During the war years Meersbrook Construction Company was at the forefront of rebuilding Sheffield and its neighbouring areas, transforming universities, commercial buildings, shops and restaurants from ruins into a great city once again. At this time the company was based on Chesterfield Road in the present location of the shopping complex. 

The company director Malcolm Greaves his late father Bill Greaves along with Eric Greaves have all been past presidents of the Federation of Master Builders.
